My 97 Formula tonight just died when trying to start it up. The battery is less than 1 year old, alternator has never been replaced, but my voltmeter shows it putting out ~14V and the meter on the dash looks fine.
Its been running great and then after coming home and letting it sit for 6 hours I tried to start it tonight and it died. All the lights/radio etc.. came on but as soon as I went to crank the engine it all died and I couldn't get anything to work there after.
I finally was able to jump the car and it started and ran fine. Any ideas on what could cause such a sudden failure with a relatively new battery and everything else appearing to be normal? Thanks.
