i have the fan mod where the one fan is always on and the other comes on at 236. well the other day i was driving at it stared getting hotter than it should. and the it got pretty close to red so i shut it off and i poped the hood and i grabbed the hose going into the water pump and it was hot and under alot of pressure.

so is it the thrmostat?

 

TTT ok well i changed the thermostat and the one i pulled out was a 160 deg but it was made for a older sbc. so i put my new 180 deg one in and now it stays nice and cool.
