Re: car is getting harder to start

Your talking about the INTAKE on the engine or the COLD AIR INTAKE?
Someone told me since I Hydrolocked my car once my Intake Manifold has
residue and thats whats probably causing the hard starting....???

Re: car is getting harder to start

ohh...That was a great relief !
Well I have about 3 tears on the lip of the Elbow where it hooks up to the throttle body and they are all at least 1" long so maybe this is the cause...
How much does an OEM elbow go for?
DOes anyone reccomend any aftermarket elbows that will help with smoothness or straightning out airflow?

The 1LE is what i got from jason cromer, basically same as stock without the ******* on it. Some other people get the trickflow elbows.

Re: car is getting harder to start

i bought the Trick Flow elbow for mine. Its not too bad only thing is you have to tap threads onto your IAT sensor. I wouldnt tap the threads i would file the outside down until it was a snug fit. when i tapped mine the top of the sensor broke. Could that effect performance? I dont know. Another Option is to plug the hole with a correct sized bolt then put a resistor into the sensor and Electrical tape it up...its what i will do to mine when i fix it.

So I guess the difference between the trickflow and the 1le must just be cosmetic right?...how much do they run for?

So what ever happened with this one, red 93?

I finally fixed mine....It was the fuel pump. Replaced and it runs & starts like it was brand new...Cold or warm!
