Car dynoed untuned, how much to be gained by dynotune?
Re: Car dynoed untuned, how much to be gained by dynotune?
Sometimes I want to hit peopel in the head with a bumpstick. An a/f ratio of about 13 to 1 is about equal to 13 pounds of air to 1 pound of fuel.Same with a 11 to 1 ratio.Did you guys know that with an air/fuel ratio of 14.7 to 1 about 10,000 gallons of air enters the engine for every 1 gallon of fuel.

The thing that gets me is... I know the numbers are low but i trapped 107.xx at the track with those numbers....I mean am I the only one who thinks that the dyno numbers and trap speed dont match??? So i am kinda confused. My friends LS1 dynoed on THE SAME DYNO 300 rwhp and 325 rwtq and i pull 2 cars on him from 55 to 110..... So like i said before. I dunno. But the car still feels strong as heck and i can only hope for it to get stronger. Oh and i think i can make it to your bbq joe....if there's free beer involved.

Well I got the car DYNOTUNED!!!
Old Numbers New numbers
265rwhp 294 rwhp
274rwtq 297 rwtq
VERY HAPPY WITH THE TUNE , I would recommend CCS tuning to anybody in the central texas area. Jim does good work. So there ya have it, car runs ALOT better and I cant wait to get it back to the track.... Guess 30 rear wheel was possible with a dynotune.....
I want to get it dynoed on a dynojet though... Now that its tuned CORRECTLY! Wonder what numbers i would see on one? Anyways, just following up on my thread.

I dont know exactly what the guy did but i know he had to add a bunch of timing and stuff... I ended up with an 12.9 A/F ratio, when we went any leaner it actually made less power.. And both the hp and tq curves look MUCH better than the baseline.... I have the dynographs but no way to put them up unfortunately. Oh and Joe.... Get a job greaser.
