Car dies when decelerating...

This has happened a couple times since my motor build. I don't know if it has something to do with the stall convertor or if I need to raise the rpm @ idle. When cruising at a reasonable speed or the cruise being set, I'll let off the throttle completely and it's like it instantly goes into neutral and the rpm's go straight down. Almost everytime itre covers itself and guns back up, but sometimes it just flat out dies. Any ideas?

Try cleaning out the IAC and give it a shot. I know a lot of guys have stalling problems due to a faulty one.

Can the parts store test it to see if it is bad? I don't know when I will have time next to do it.

it takes 10 min to take out and check......longer then it would take you to go to the store...have some kid tell you to buy a new one anyway...and then drive home

I'll work on that. I had it out like 2000 miles ago when we built the new motor, but I'll see if it looks bad.
