car dies at stoplights!
Everything is cured including the hard starting except for this damn occasional stalling. I'm starting to get really pissed off. I am now getting a service engine soon light. So, I am gonna by an autoxray scan tool, cuz im sick of paying the dealer to do the ****. if anyone has figured this out let me know. Thanks, Michael
have you checked o2 sensors? i had same problem after my header install, ran like crap at idle but anything over 1500rpm and took off like a bat outta hell, put new o2 sensors in and she purrs at idle.
try unplugging the existing o2 sensors and start her up see if it changes the condition, if not youve got me: confused:

Within a week and a half I'm putting in my loudmouth exhaust and dumping the flowmaster. While at the shop I'm gonna have them break the o2 sensor bolts back a little. Those damn things won't budge! Once I get them off, my friend and I think we'll have found the problem.
fyi: my ses light stays on now too.

I dont think that is my problem. My car has a smooth idle except the damn thing just dies at stoplights. And now its stumbling and throwing a damn code every mile i go down the road (on and off). I am gonna buy the scanner this weekend. Im gonna make a plea to the dealer i took it to, to just scan the thing for me. I paid them 140 to diagnose because it took them all day. I cant afford to pay for them to do it again. Plus what they told me to fix didnt fix all my problems. It did fix some of them, but not all. Wish me luck! -Michael
Well good luck Mike! BTW if there is a PepBoys store around you somewhere you can get your own scanner for $150.00. Oh, and never take it to the dealer. They haven't got a f*cking clue "most" of the time. Take it to a good mechanic who you've gotten good feedback about. Saves you money, time and they usually find and fix the problem pretty well.

Just a quick FYI guys, you can get a decent OBDII scanner off Ebay for $49.99. I got one a few weeks ago and it works great, it only reports the codes but sometimes that's all you need. Save yourself $100 and go to Ebay. I typed in OBDII and found one guy who had a bunch of them for sale, shipping took 2 days.
God, did that sound like a plug or what? Sorry bout that, not affiliated.

I lucked out. An oreilly's about 15 miles away rents an autoxray scanner. I rented it out, and it said the only code I have thrown was a maf code 48. It hasnt thrown a code yet today. i was thinking to buy one of the autoxray's off ebay, but i can use that one for free, so for now I dont really need too. I'll keep u posted on whether its still happening or not. I was thinking to replace my 02 sensors since the car has 81k on it now. i think my gas mileage might get better too. I hope so. Thanks, michael
Yeah O2 sensors are next on my list when the Loudmouth goes in. Have you checked/gotten rid of the MAF screen yet Fozzie? I found backfire type residue in the screen and surrounding area when I took out my screen. Just and idea.
ps: cleaned the holy hell outta it after.

edit:
pps: The obd2 scanner from Pepboys TOLD me I had a MAF error on that scan. As an aside, it gave me the code AS WELL as telling me in plain ol' english what the error was on the display.
