Hello guys,
well a 2 days ago I replaced my opti, and put everything back on, I'm 95% sure i put the opti on right with the dowl pin. Earlier I started my car today, it took awhile to start, I have to keep turning the iginition on and off for it to try to fire, when i turned it over it will try to fire for a second and will not try to fire again until I turn it off and turn the key back on and will try to fire again, but it will only start about 1 out 10 times. The car has been sitting for about a month now. I dont know if this problem has anything to do with my fuel pump, but i think it not keeping fuel or something, it also seem to fire better when the elbow and maf and filter is off. Can someone give me some ideas what is wrong. Also if anyone needs a car fax in the next 25 days i can get it for you.

Since you mentioned you had the elbow and the maf off, 1 do we assume you have a 94 since I like OBDI?????? 2 what else do you have disconnected??? 3 have you checked the fuel level in the tank or fuel pressure when you crank it over?

Not having to play 30 questions helps. When you talk about "firing" are you talking about rotating the engine as in the starter engaging? Or is that working everytime but the engine wont fire up even when it's rotating?

 

its a OBDII, and i dont have anything else disconnected, I haven't checked my fuel pressure, but I know it has pleanty of gas in it. The car is cranking over, and will try to fire one time and then just turn over, until I turn the car off and then try to fire it again and the samething happens. I'm think I'm going to go get a fuel gauge today, see if I have the right amount of fuel pressure, and see if I can do this spark test that is on shoebox website.
