cam bearings for cc306

i am using a cc306 cam in my current engine build. will standard durabond bearings work fine with this cam or should i have bought the "HP Race Series" bearings? to me- a cc306 isnt exactly a huge "race" cam. just curious as to what others thought. i would assume that most standard aftermarket bearings would be just as good if not better than the gm bearings?

this is going in an l98 engine- but i posted here because i thought this was a fairly popular cam with the lt1 group.

Re: cam bearings for cc306

i am assuming you mean clevite's standard bearings? if so- i think i am in good shape- since the 847 is a little larger than the cc306- and your's is even larger than that. thanks!
