Unhappy Car Died, Need Help

Hey everyone. My car died on the way to work today. I *think* it's the 0ptispark. The car kind of starts, but it just stumbles around a bit with some popping coming from the exhaust, and dies. I was running a little late for work, and I punched it at a light. The tires didn't hook up very well, and the motor revved up pretty high (not redlining), and then the motor just started dying. The car has stalled twice before when I was driving, came to a stop, and then tried to accelerate again. Both times it just started right up again. Also, I've been having a high RPM miss for awhile too, and have been preparing for a tune up with plugs and wires. The car has an MSD ignition, but I already bypasses that. The car has no other real motor mods.

Before this, I didn't have any low RPM stumbling, a=just high (eexecpt fot the 2 times the car stalled when accelerating from a stop, wheich occured over a period of a few weeks). Now, the car deosn't really start at all anymore. I'll just crank the moter for ahwile, and everything works likethe motor's trying to start, and then when I let off the key, it justs barely stumbles around for a few seconds, and then dies.

Start with the basics.

Swap out the plugs and wires. This should be done at some point anyways.

If that doesn't cure it you can swap out the coil and opti.

Man, I really wanted to wait on doing the plugs and wires until I did the header install (they're sitting in my garage).

I can understand the coil, but if it was the plugs or wires, wouldn't still at least start, but just run badly. Also, would the failure be so sudden?
