I have a friend that just put a 97 LT1 out of a wrecked Fbody in an old car. There are no emmisions and no VATS in the computer. It is not losing fuel pressure but everytime you go to start it the motor takes a good 15 sec of cranking before it starts. Once it is started it runs perfect. There is no spark issues at the top end this thing runs great. It just wont start right. Any ideas what it could be or anything can you think of to check?

 

You mean not losing fuel pressure while idling or not losing when key is turned on but car not running yet? Does it do this after car has sat for a while or only when hot or all the time?

 

He says that it does it all the time. Hot or cold. He says that is not losing fuel pressure after sitting. Thats the first thing I thought when he was explaining the problem.
