Hammer

when you replaced your opti did you keep the original waterpump or get a new one.

while I'm waiting for MrBoss to come back with some info on his opti replacement let me ask you guys a question.

I know that the issue with the opti's are more likely the cap and rotor, do you think I should just replace these items and try to clean the opti out a little, it would save me like $400.

Tomorow Im going to do the opti install. Unfortunetly I was just about to sell the car when this occured, so 600+ delteq is out of the question.

93's don't have a MAF sensor.

MRBoss429x, any progress yet? I am anxious to see if the Opti solves it.

I have been dealing with delteq lately, their support has been wonderful.

They said it may just be the cap and rotor. They are going to send me a demo unit to test with. I will let you know how that goes.

Boss. After you switch out the opti if you don't mind could you take some photo's of what the inside of your old one looked like. I'd be interested to see what kind of shape the optical sensor is in.

I wanted to take mine apart to see too, but I don't have the socket to do it with. Mine looks worse than the pictures of yours on the outside. Only thing I've been able to tell so far is it had rust looking in through the drive hole in the back. I will take it up to my friend's shop next week, I think he has the socket I need.

Since mine had issues with the optical sensor for sure, and the cap and rotor maybe, it would be nice to know why.

What's up again!, Yes I replaced my waterpump, my waterpump shaft seal and also the shaft extension o-rings. It makes sense to replace everything while you have it torn apart. You will be glad you did.

Well I didnt get my wp till 7:30 and as I was putting it on I noticed my socket doesnt fit over the middle passengerside bolt anymore. The new wp has a bulge there that the stocker didnt have. Great . Now I need to try and find a new wrench or grind it down (ive always wanted a dremel).

Well, I know nothing of a bulge in the pump, but I know the bolt you're talking about. That one conveniently placed nearly under the PS pulley.

I think we're all pulling for you on this one.
