Car almost dies right after start up.

Alrighty i havent drivin my car in about 2 weeks and it has been pretty cold here so i decided to go out there and start it. I started it up the first time and it started fine and ran like normal, so about 20 minutes later i go out and turn it off. Well after i turn it off i went ahead and started it again just for the heck of it and it started up and the idle hit about 1000 which is normal and then it came down to about 500 and then died. I was like ok what the heck is going on. So i started it again and it started and went up to a thousand for a second and then dropped back down to about 500 for just a second and almost died but it rebounded and stayed running it did it one more time after then and then i went inside. I am thinking IAC valve is not functioning right or something, what do u guys think???

Are you sure it's not a charging issue maybe alternator?
