Capping off EVAP hose???

How do you plan to "vent" your fuel tank? The fuel tank is "sealed", with the excess vapors pulled out of the system by the EEC purge. In the event pressure in the system reaches excessive levels, the fuel vents out a relief valve in the canister plumbing. That will cause the stink of fuel to collect at the rear of the car, and I can tell you based on personal experience, those vapors can end up inside the car.... my eyes were watering from the smell of C16 racing fuel, until I corrected the operation of the system.
As a minimum, if you disconnect the canister purge, I would switch to a "vented" fill cap.
