Angry Canton Valve Covers!

What the hell!

IT doesn't fit! The one on the alternator side rubs againt my promagnum. Since I have AFR's I use a different gasket and it makes them sit high, so my alternator doesn't line up right now.... This blows... tremendously... well atleast the LT1 alternator only needs one bolt to be held in place... that things not going any where... but it's going to look so goofy now. I guess I'll make a spacer and link later for it... I don't feel like going to home depot right now...

But this is crap! I'm going to file a class action suite against them for putting out this junk all LTX owners should chime in. I almost thought I was installing an Edelbrock product!

I am reminded of this post where you said not to bash Canton as they stand behind all their products, Whats changed? Now you are the one with fitament issues so we can bash them?

Mine did not fit well either. If it wern't for the fact that they look incredable, I would have complained.

Nothings changed... I mean these are just valve covers... but the accupump kit they sent me is amazing quaility wise compaired to moroso.

Now that I've calmed down a bit, the covers are on the car. the altinator fits in its stock locations with no problems. The only thing that needed to be clearanced was the lip for the promagnum rockers. I hammered a dent in there... and ground it down some. So far it appears to be good. Quaility wise they are nice...but some adjusting required. THen again... since I have AFR's I don't rely on the tabs to locate them, they rest on the gaskets. so I'm sure they might be a problem for standard heads.
