Canton Oil Pan w/385 stroker LT1

Hey bods just wondering. I went on ahead and spent the money and picked up a nice canton oil pan 6qt. During my last stroker build I used my stock oil pan with my High Volume oil Pump, I think I was having froth problems becuase people were telling me my oil pan was too small for that pump hence the pump was sucking the oil out of the stock pan. Now that I have a bigger pan, Can I still use my High Volume Oil pump?

Most definitely. If you don't have one already, it would be a real good idea to get a mech. oil pressure gauge.
Make sure your pan is the 242T model since it is f-body specific.

Why do you prefer the mechanical gauge over an electric gauge?

Electric being the stock one or an aftermarket electric gauge?
If you are stating the differences between stock and a mechanical it's because oil pressure is read instantaneously on a mech. gauge whereas the stocker seems to take a long time to recover when there is a sudden drop in pressure... at least my gauge is that way.
I was experiencing windage and didn't know about it until after I put the mech. gauge in. When the windage would happen you would've never known it by just using the stock gauge.
As far as aftermarket electric.. I have no opinion. Never used one.

I have an electric oil pump gage located on in my pillar. I blew out my stock oil sending unit. And yes it seems to be right now targer as far as reading is concerned, Mine canisters is right above the oil pump filter so Im getting the reading at the base of the block,
