Ive done a search and found two diffrent pick ups the canton 20-023 and the 20-013 which one is the correct pick up for my setup?

Thanks Joe. Are all the melling select 1055x pumps all the same housings but diffrent internals?

Yeah, they all have their minor differences. Some are standard volume, standard pressure, others are high volume high, high pressure, etc.

Things may have changed, but the high volume pumps used to have taller gears and housings, and needed a different pickup.
The oil pan manufacture will supply the pump pickup you need. You just have to ask!

On the packaging the 20-023 pump came in says "pick-up small block chevy 7 1/2 deep pan with melling 155 hv pump" and the packaging the 20-013 came in says "sbc pickup
7.5" rr 3/4"tube m155 pump".I will keep both pickups and when I get the pan off I will have to measure to make sure I get the right pickup on.

i just spoke to a rep at canton, he told me the 20-023 only belongs on a HV pump. the 20-013 needs to be on a std volume . must be a difference on how the bracket is welded on the pick up.
RAMAIR ... so does your pick up sit level on your pump? how far from the bottom of the pan? you remember?

You're correct I read that somewhere I can't remember where. I have the 10554 pump and I bought both pickups. Both pickups fit on the pump but the brackets are diffrent. I will know by the beginning of next month which pickup fits with my pan.

Id hate to post up incorrect info but it seems like so many people run the 023 and 10554 without issues... but is the pick up to far from the bottom of the pan? i dont want to have the pick up farther than 3/8 to 1/2 from the pan... so beat because i wanted to have this taken care of by tomorrow night.
