Question K&N FIPK Service

I bought/installed a new filter(k&n) in july 09& want to clean/service the air filter first thing this upcoming season. My ? is can the tube/air filter be removed from the top instead of the bottom. It,s a real pain, etc. to take all that crap under the bumper. It just looks easier from top.Any tips will be appreciated.

Re: K&N FIPK Service

I haven't found a way to do it. An optional way is to remove the left front tire/wheel and remove the inner fender liner.

You can remove the liner by itself without taking the wheel off. FYI, if you go to the dealer and order a new splash guard, they are redesigned with an access panel.
