Can't get Lokar dipstick to fit

I have splayed four-bolt mains and someone suggested getting to Lokar dipstick since the stock dipstick won't work anymore. I got one, but it the dipstick still won't go all the way down the tube. Sometimes it get stuck 2/3 of the way down and sometimes after only 1/3 of the way down. Please help.

Trying twisting the dipstick as you push downward.

I had to cut a 1/4" off the bottom of the tube to get mine to work. (I have Milodon splayed caps). My tube would not go all the way in the block, nor would the stick go in. After cutting it, the dipstick goes in with a slight twist at the bottom.

Hmm...twisting doesn't seem to do anything. The tube goes in the block, but the dipstick won't go in the tube.

I don't get it. Is the tube straight?? if you have the tube IN the block ALL THE WAY the dipstick should slide right in. What exactly is it hitting, are you talking about the head of the dipstick or something jamming up inside the tube??

Maybe u should take out the tube and see if u can slide the dipstick in, make sure nothing is pinched inside or damaged.

Re: Can't get Lokar dipstick to fit

The dipstick protrudes out past the end of the actual tube. Therefore his actual dipstick is hitting his main cap.

I have a hard time pushing my Lokar dipstick in sometimes. When that happens you have to kind of turn it as you keep trying to push it in until you get it just right and it pushes all the way in.
