Can't figure out oil leak..any opinions?

I have a freshly rebuilt engine in my camaro with roughly 900 miles on the clock since I put it in. The problem I am having is that I can't figure out the source of an oil leak I am having. From what I can see is the tranny cover pan is lightly coated in a fluid (not to sure rather it is oil or trans fluid). I don't believe it to be coming from the rear main or the intake. When the leak initially started, it was a small stream running down the passenger side of the trans cover pan (which is why I don't think it is the rear main). I spent about ten minutes running my hand along the rear of the engine because the intake was the first thing that came to mind but I found zero signs of leakage. The valve covers are dry as a bone all around and the oil pressure sensor isn't leaking from its threads. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated because I have run out. Thanks

Silicone pan gasket with crush spacers. If ya got an aftermarket pan especially a Canton ya need to run a cork SBC gasket.

I am currently running the stock oil pan with the fel-pro one-piece blue gasket. I didn't actually build the engine myself, but did the removal and install. From the looks of it the builder ran rtv or silicon in the corners and along the front and rear of the pan. It seemed to be seeling but I will take another look at it.

Run your hand down the sides and take the bellhousing cover off and check the back of the pan.
RTV does no good on a silicone dasket as it won't stick to it,if in fact it is a silicone gasket(blue)
Put one on a friends race car and after 2 passes the pan was wet.(didn't have time to go get a cork one)

my rear main seal was leaking after about 5000 miles after a rebuild. just replaced it this weekend.

going to replace the front main seal in a few weeks cuz its already leaking too lousy shop...

just sayin to check those out too, on my automatic's tc cover, it was coming out of the tiny hole at the bottom of it. after realizing it wasnt the rear of the intake manifold by hand checking it, we replaced the rear main...not for the faint of heart

I chased one down for 2 seasons without luck; in the end when I tore the motor down, the oil sender itself was leaking.

I used some silicone when I put the LT1 in my Datsun & had an oil leak at the rear of the pan. Fel-Pro (blue) gasket instructions (OK, so I rarely read them ) say to install it dry, which is what I'm trying the second time around.
