I have the springs and 1.6RR's from a hotcam kit and was wanting to go with a CC306 cam... will i have to buy springs and RR's for the 306 or will the ones i have from the hotcam kit work fine?

 

Not sure about the rockers, but the springs will definetely not work.

 

Don't see why the RRs wouldn't work, but the springs cannot support that much lift.

 

1.6RR's are 1.6 RR's. The springs wont work.

 

The GMPP rockers are only good to .550, GM speced this in order to stiffen them up. The 306 with 1.6 will be .544 .576 so I say no they wont work either. Not a lot of heads are going to flow well enough to bother with that much lift anyway. The springs are far from usable the HOT cam is about their limit and really the lobes on that are mild compared to most aftermarket cams.

 

In the first sentence here, dont you mean the springs are only good till .550 lift? The only thing that would really affect the rocker is geometry, or interference from something like the top of the spring (O.D. wise).
