Question Can the LT4 intake accept a 58mm throttle body?

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...NAL%2D12550630

Does this intake come ported for a 58mm throttle body or does it have to be ported?

It will need to be "ported". But it's quick work as it doesn't have to be too precise and the aluminum is soft.

When porting, the idea, is to be able to bolt up TB without any mismatch (bigger into smaller) to disrupt airflow. This is something the people that endorse bolting a 52 mm TB to a 52 mm opening, do not seem to understand. Mismatch waiting to happen!

Geez, you're quick! Guess I gotta take credit for confusing you.

Not sure what I stated to do so, however, what I was implying, was to make sure the opening you generate at the TB mounting surface of the intake, is not smaller, AT ANY POINT, than the TB you are bolting up to the manifold. IOW, at any point, or at any degree, around the hole, once the TB is bolted up.

What I am alluding to, is to allow for any mounting bolt hole slop.

Make sure the holes are the same size would have been easier to say.

No, I'm trying to say, make sure the diameter of the holes, in the manifold, are, bigger, by the amount of the mounting bolt hole clearance.
