Can I use this block?

I am going to be building a 383 for a '93 camaro and I need to purchase a new block as the one in the car is no good. I'm a little confused as to what block I can use for the buildup. I will be using Ported LT-1 heads and intake and will most likely be running a Scat 9000 crank, h-beam rods and forged pistons.
Is it possible to use this block from Pace?

If not, does anyone have a GM part number for a new LT-1 block? I'm looking for just a bare block. Thanks for any help.

no i don't think you can use that block. It is a first gen block and our motors are second gen. That block isn't set up for an opti or reverse cooling.

Ditto.... That's a "Gen 1"..... we need "Gen 2". As far as I know, GM stopped making LT1 blocks about 3 years ago. Every once in a while, an outfit in Denver - Burt Chevrolet - seems to find a stash of new ones, but I haven't seen them advertise any lately.

You just need to find a good used block. Typically about $300.
