Yesterday I diagnosed my misfire on my camaro. Turns out that my #6 spark plug wire was rubbed through and was arcing to the #6 primary header tube. I have Taylor wires that I cut to length myself. Does anyone know if I can get just one wire or do I have to buy a whole set? I fixed the wire for now with some sealer, electric tape and a piece of rubber hose. Its fine now but I'm sure it will start acting up soon enough. What do you guys think?

 

I've never heard of being able to buy just one plug wire. But maybe someone here on the board has an old set of the same kind of wires your running that had another wire burnt and bought another set and still has a good #6 wire for you. Just a thought

 

What color do you have? I have some spare Taylor wires here.

 

you can get a repair kit from thunder racing, it's basicly just one wire that you have to cut to length, and then put together yourself, it's 10-11 dollars + shipping.

i have a blue one that i ordered, and ended up not needing because i just cut the one that was burnt and repaired it myself. since it was burnt about 1 inch from the boot.

depended on how close the burn is on the wire, and how much slack you have, you could do that same thing.
