can an exhaust leak screw up your timing at high rpms when wot but at a graduly throttle to wide open its ok what the problem i have an exhaust leak could this cause it.

 

Exhaust leaks close to the O2 sensors will screw up your air/fuel ratios. I believe the only thing to influence timing is your knock sensor; a lean air/fuel ratio could cause knock that would retard your timing.

 

running lean would cause knock, however if im not mistakin, bad o2 sensors tend to cause a rich condition???

 

welling im getting the leak fixed to day and replacing the o2s as well

 

turns out i blew my header gasket
