Can i drive like this??

i got a 96 trans am lt1, with longtubes, ory pipe and deleted the air/egr, i know i am going to need a tune but whenever i get it all on it may be a couple of weekd before i can afford a tune, would it hurt to drive it without a tune or will it mess anything up?

It'll be fine, but you'll get crappy gas mileage and you might see some black smoke in the exhaust. You might also smell gas in the exhaust.

You don't need a tune for just putting LT's and exhaust on, the computer can compensate accordingly. You will need some minor programming done to keep your SES light turned off. Once the computer learns to compensate for the better flowing exhaust you will have improved gas mileage.

Agreed, I drove weeks before finally getting a tune done, had no issues. You might smell a noxious/gasoline smelling odor, that will be because of the lack of cats.

oh ok sweet cause on another site and guy said this "your car will be down on power because the mods are too extensive to have the pcm self correct itself for proper fuel trim, etc." so i was like what is he talking about ?

Its a good idea to get it tuned. Just "tuning" the PCM on a totally stock engine will net you 10-15HP. Once you start modding, you'll probably gain more than that with a good tune. The question you asked was can you drive it without a tune, or will it mess anything up. The answer is YES... you can drive it without a tune, and NO, it will not mess anything up, it will not pour black smoke out the exhaust.... you will be fine. But that does not mean that you will not see improved performance with a tune. You'll need a tune, or O2 sims, to turn the SES light off.

Your 96 has 4 O2's - two O2 sensors in front of the cats - you can't delete those; two more after the cats. Those are the ones that tell the PCM there is no cat. They have to be replaced with O2 sims, or the code needs to be programmed out. Running temporarily without anything plugged in will set codes and turn the SES light on, but isn't going to affect engine operation.
