CAn i do this with my hypertechpowerprogrammer?

MY hypertech power programmer came with my car and I was wondering if it is any good for doing anything besides adjusting settings? I was wondering if you could use it to monitor things like knock retard and such because i kind of heard that you could. Also, should i bother applying its spark plug timing, I havent tried it yet but i am wondering if it wil ldo anything?

There is a "scan cartridge" available for the 1996 and 1997 HPP programmers. It is an extra cost item.

imo sell that to someone else and get a dyno tune with lt1 edit or a mail order tune and get a scanmaster

Plug in the programmer and return the car to stock settings, that way you can sell it to someone else on ebay or something and then get a mail order tune or even better LT1 edit.
