Can Arcing mess up the opti?

Sorry to say I've neglected my car of late. Driving in traffic I never really noticed it, just thought I needed a tune up. It was probably arcing for months before I figured it out. The car always started within a second, but started taking longer and longer to start. Also when shifting from 1st to 4th, the car would jerk, which I thought was vapour lock, but that got worse. That's when I looked under the hood in the dark and saw that one of the plugs/wires was arching underneath one of the header exhausts. So, I changed the plugs, wires, also cleaned the air filter, replaced the fuel filter, and did a fuel injection flush. It worked great for a day or two, but now my check engine light is on, car runs like crap, my OBDII reader says I have multiple misfiring. I checked all the wires and connections and they look ok. So I thought I'd ask before I spend $$$ on another Optispark....

Recheck all your connections from the wires to the spark plugs; might be as simple is a connection that got loose after the tune-up.

Point taken. I'll check them again, but I made sure that everything was in properly. Odds are that is what is is hopefully....
