Camshaft Advice Needed....

ok... I need some suggestions (along with reasons preferably) for a cam to go with the work I'm doing this winter..

I'm planning on:
Ported Stock LT1 Heads (done by me and a family friend that works at a performance engine shop)
Ported/Matched Intake
1.6 RRs
New Valve Springs (need Recommendations to complement cam)
New Camshaft (Need recommendations)
Dyno tune after Mods

I was thinking of a 306, but I've head some good things about the XE cams as well.

This a Weekend warrior car, with some track and some street time, but very few miles per year (<5K), so streetability isn't like a daily-driver type situation.

The mods are in the sig... It's an M6, with 4.10 gears, Hooker Lt's, True Duals...

I have a 306 and am really pleased with the performance. I think that would be a good choice, but you could look at the GM847. I've been hearing a lot of people lately using this cam.

Suggestion?...CC305!

Reason?...12.05 @ 112 MPH

I can still drive the car everywhere, and it's still emissions legal.

Sorry, I don't have any dyno numbers...The car hasn't seen a dyno since I did the heads and cam.

The CC305 is similar to the Hotcam which is a fairly small grind, The CC306 and the GM847 have way more potential, plus they are a lot more aggressive, in terms of lift numbers.

ok, im in the same boat... id like a few suggestions, but how do u know if a car will be a decent ride?

i mean my formula is my every day driver, and id like to put a cam in there and have some serios gains...

i mean i hear people talk about cam surge but i donno what that is really... and things like that that make a car unstreatable...

but i need to consider emissions so what options do i have?

I'd say the CC306 or the 847, you already have the gears for a high reving cam.
