"Streetable" is a very subjective term. To some, it means idling almost like stock, with a little lope. To others, if they can keep it running at less than 1500 rpm, while the whole car shakes, it's streetable. You have to be specific, i.e. what kind of idle and lope do you want (or will accept), how high do you want to rev, are you keeping your AC, do you need vacuum for power brakes, emissions testing?

Either of the 2 you mentioned give a nice power increase, while staying well mannered (at least after tuning). Some guys have gone much larger. I agree on the headers, though. It's tough to flow more air through the engine with the stock manifolds.

My car is a '93, so it takes a replaceable chip. PCMFORLESS did a "mail order" tune for me.

My transmission is a 700R4 (4L60). They didn't go to the 4L60E until '94. This means my transmission is still hydraulically shifted...Not electronic.
I've been building transmissions professionally for 14 years. I know these 700/4L60E's inside and out. I've got them in mid 10 second cars.
All the info about what's done to mine is in the "Stats And Specifications" section of my web page.

I actually installed the LT4 Hotcam kit on the stock exhuast manifolds and went from 279 to 317 rwhp without tuning. Thing is that I wouldnt go larger than that without getting headers. After putting on long tubes and tuning, I went from 317 to 343 rwhp.
