Angry Camaro is dead again

It’s been a week since my I installed the racetonix kit with the power cable that runs to the battery and now my car doesn’t start. At first it would start and run for a second and then die. Now it just will not start at all. Any suggestions??? I really hope I don’t have to take the pump back out again.

get a fuel pressure tester from autozone or any other car shop and test your fuel pressure, its a 5 minute job. It your car starts right away without having to wait, it may not be your fuel pressure problem. Opti, ignition .... Any codes?

Did you connect it properly?

If so, check the fuse that's on that wire you ran to the alternator. Mine was just a few inches from that connection.

Re: Camaro is dead again

well took out the fuse and droped it so i couldn't see if it blown when i went to put a new fuse in it sparked and i droped that one . Is it supose to spark like that?? probably should have disconnected the bat got another fuse and got this one in and the car started right up. Why would the fuse blow already?? its only been in there a week??

Not sure, it happened to me once or twice. Just carry a couple fuses with you in the car. That way you're prepared next time, if it happens again. I shouldn't happen too often, if it's a regular occurance I would call the place you bought it from.

Re: Camaro is dead again

well i put a new fuse in again and tonight i went to start the car heard a shocking noise and everything shut down. the fuse blew again and i think i know whats causing it. it looks like the wireing harnes is hitting the manifold i will take it out tommarow and see for sure. now i need a new harness . guss i will be emailing Racetronix tommarow. hope they dont kill me on the price on replaceing the harness.

Anyone have any sugestions on where to run the harness do that it doesn't hit???

Re: Camaro is dead again

When I put mine in I used zip ties to make sure that it was secure. I think I ran mine next to the fuel lines, then ran it across the cross member, then zip tied it to the tranny once or twice and then up behind the motor and next to the rest of the wiring over the top of the motor.

Just take your time and do what you want, but just be careful so that you dont burn it again.

You might be able to repair the harness you have, but I can't see it.
