Cam Video and ?

Well here it is with the Jet Hot Long Tube's installed, running very rich, not fully tuned either. Man it was a bitch taking these things off, however I put some MAC's on and it sounds great, especially through the Hooker Catback. Anyway here it is, 224/230, mild heads.

http://www.siknor.com/LTCam.wmv

It idles pretty high so you can't hear a whole lotta loap, but now, about 3 weeks since the video, I've worked out the bugs, will put up a video later with the MAC's and DMH.

However, I have one big problem, I see oil leaking out on the sides of the block where the heads meet the block. It looks as if it drips down from the head gaskets and down the block, its happening on both sides too. I checked the back of the intake manifold, pretty clean, the valve covers are good too.

What gives?

Thanks

Thanks guys, yeah about the oil leak, I did have my heads mildy ported, there is no leak from the back of the intake manifold, or from the valve covers. It doesn't make any sense to me.

I'm gonna get under there sometime this week and fix that and the tranny leak while I'm doing the EGR. I'll take some pics for a diagnosis.

Later

Until you get the oil leak sorted out make sure you run straight water not coolant or u wil spin a bearing.

If you had the heads off my guess is the heads weren't torqued down properly in steps.

How do you figure coolant will spin a bearing versus running water?

The heads were torqued to 68ft. lbs in sequence, I used the Hayne's manual. First I torqued to 40ft. lbs in sequence, then to 68ft. lbs in sequence, then I rechecked them all.

Maybe there's a place I'm not feeling around in on the intake. I'll take a better look.

Yeahp, open Jet Hot LT's, my MAC's sound just as loud too Even better through the Hooker.

I would really check around the vavle covers I had an oil leak coming from them too and it was really hard to see it. you can even get a dye and put in your oil and use a UV ligth to see where it is coming from..

Yeah its entirely possible, I haven't really checked them that well. Must be leaking on the intake side or on the back. I just got this engine bay and engine clean enough to eat on too. SOB!
