TTT, could someone please tell me how streetable the xe 224/230 and a 2800 stall would be. does that cam give pretty good gains over the hot cam or say the cc305.

thanks,
Dustin

I will be driving my car mostly on the weekends and every now and then to work and school. its not my only car so i don't have to drive it every day. on the weekends i want to be able to crusie it through town in some traffic. i don't want alot of cam surge or bucking. i would like to have a decent lope, a little more than the hot cam and the cc305 and more power than those two as well.
with the TC i don't want to have to rev it up to 2800 every time before i move at all. they will usally creep when you give it a little gas, don't they? that is for traffic reasons. also i don't want to break the tires loose every time i hit 2nd gear even under light throttle. i hope this isn't asking to much.

thanks,
Dustin

None of the things you are describing will occur with the cams you are considering and a 2,800 stall converter. Don't worry, be happy. I was amazed to find out that my car is fairly easy to drive with a 4,200rpm stall. Wouldn't want to do alot of ruch hour stop and go, but for general day to day driving it's fine.

Get a GOOD tranny cooler though. I like coolers with a fan, I am using this one from B&M http://www.bmracing.com/products/acc...es/hiTekCooler It's very compact and efficient.

Really, i thought that the xe224/230 was a bit bigger and more aggresive than the hot cam.
