cam swap ?'s

First of all this is my wifes car so it will probably never be raced or revved past 4500 so with that in mind Im going to install an LT4 hotcam. I wanted to replace the timing chain also and need to make sure the stock chain will be sufficient? Should I get the chain gears also? The car has 160,000 miles on it ! I'm going to get 1.6 RR's but I dont know what brand is best or wether to get self aligning or non SA. The gasket set from combination motorsports reads CM-LT1CSGS LT1 Camshaft Swap Gasket Package
Fel-Pro Intake Gaskets, Fel-Pro Timing Cover Gasket, Opti Seal, Crank Seal, Water Pump Drive Seal $37.92. Are these all the gaskets I will need for this swap? Also, what kind of sealant did you guys use to fix your intake leak? Thanks!

Why change to the hotcam cam if it's never going over 4500? Does you wife want a lumpier idle? Part throttle driving and all below 4500 isn't the hotcam's strong suit.

What am I missing here?

I drive it alot too and I want to know I can pass someone with ease and have a little lope to it. I repainted the car and put a ram-air hood on it and its just a shame it looks so fast but really isnt. So I might run it once but if someone talks **** about it I want to be able to back it up but it will mostly be babied. I probably want even tell her what I did to the car just say I put some plugs in it and see if she notices.

Like Brett said there are much better cams. My first choice would be something in the 218/224@50 on a 112+4 and get the recommended "kit" that comes with it. The self aligning 1.6 rockers will be alright and some beehive springs.
Better yet why not contact Brett and have him build ya a cam and "kit" after all that is what he does.
Ya should get the timing "set" not just the chain. And change the small pump drive gear too. After ya get that, a set of header's and a good dyno tune will get ya set up.
Never liked to GLUE an engine together but the black RTV is good for the intake and 3M trim cement on one side of the smaller gasket's,in spot's on one side only to hold them in place. Get the black 'cause it looks better than the yellow.

One has better grammar, punctuation and spelling than the other... although I will be carefull not to mention which one.

My personal preference in cams for something like this would be something a bit smaller. Maybe ~210 @.050 with a 108-110 LSA but I haven't really thought a whole lot about it yet.

ROFLMAO!

Both have big egos. One proofreads to make y'all think he knows what he's talking about. IOW, if it looks good, maybe it's good info/advice. The other doesn't always take the time.

One also often hits the "l" key accidently when typing. Perhaps that's arthritis setting in. That seems to be a common ailment among certain posters.

Okay I'm removing the heads too so I need some recommendations. Should I use stock height head gaskets or would it be safe to use the fel-pro .39 or even .28" thickness. The heads have never been milled or anything. What would you do? Only thing is I dont want any increased detonation if there is any.
