Cam swap, burning oil, missing, low oil press
I just did a cam swap with new pushrods, rockers and studs, and springs and valve seals. Now my car is burning 1quart of oil every 50 miles or so, and I have been driving it some and my oil pressure is gradually getting lower. I pulled the intake off and it was filled with oil so I redid the gaskets and torqued it to spec. Put on a new PCV valve. Have checked the valve seals and they seem okay. Checked cyl 1,3,8 compression was 160-185 (didnt hold the gas or remove all plugs). Those plugs all had an equal amount of oil on them. The car is running like **** and after seafoaming it today I now have ~10psi oil press at idle and ~25-30 at cruising...I am running out of ideas
Did you drive your seals on all the way and use a valve stem protector when putting them on so they woldn't be cut?
Also, were the intake gaskets all wet with oil when you took the intake manifold back off? Was it leaking port to port and from the lifter valley to the ports?
