cam suggestion/motor mounts

i need to change to motor mounts on my car, so since i was by the engine, i was thinking about a head/cam package, right now i think im gonna go w/ the lt4 ported heads, and an lt4 intake. I know the conversion kits they sell also come w/ the lt4 cam, but i want a cam that will give me max hp and torque so what cam would be good too go w/?

also since i wanna do the heads and cam, couldnt i just take everything off, then lift the motor up while its still in the engine compartment? then once the intake, valve covers, and heads are off just jack the engine up to get to the mounts??

thanks for your time

Putting a heads/cam package in because your gonna be in there to change the motor mounts is a little extreme. You can change the motor mounts in a few hours taking your time using a floor jack and a peice of wood. WAYY less work then heads / cam and not really related.

I'd talk to Llyod Elliot (vendor on the site) about your head/cam package..
Not all head porters are created Equal..
If your going with the LT4 setup for sure you might want him to do the porting and then get a custom grind matching cam for it. Nothings worse than putting an off the shelf cam in that doesnt perform how you want it.
Spend the extra 50 bucks for a custom grind.
And spend the extra money for shipping costs that'll get you an awesome port job.
