Re: Cam Shafts

I would recommend you set down and really decide what you want your car to do, how much "trouble " you can take, and go from there.

Do you just want some extra power and a little thump in the idle, do you want Max effort out of what you got, do you plan on adding a set of heads or other major components later, Or is it soemwhere in between one of these?

Re: Cam Shafts

Well i just want something that gives me a little extra HP and I'm not planning on doing anything too crazy to the car. Just basic mods give it a little extra HP nothing crazy just daily driving.

Re: Cam Shafts

if i was you go with the CC305..

its not a very big cam, nor a small cam..

I started with a 210/224 and liked it, but eventually went bigger to a 355 236/242 cam

Re: Cam Shafts

I had the CC305 in my 93 T/A for a little while, I really liked it, it had a nice mild choppy idle and gives alot of mid and upper power to the LT-1

I would recomend some headers and freer xhaust with it as well.

Re: Cam Shafts

For a daily driver that will see the track off and on I would just use the hot cam kit and have a valve job and port work done on the heads. Should make a very drivable motor with plenty of power to spank some stangs.
