Cam setup (NEED MAJOR HELP!!!!!)
I am in need of serious help! Please hang with me and give me some feedback. I have chosen the cam I want to stick in my z. I am having a major problem deciding what else to get. I know I want to go with cc 918 beehive springs but I can't find part numbers and the ones I find are for LS1s. I know I need a stall but I can't figure out what speed I should get. I would also like to upgrade the rockers to a 1.6. This won't be the end of my mods so I really don't want to tie my hands here and I am getting very, VERY frustrated! Hell, I am sitting infront of the computer with Summit catalogs, Jegs catalogs, and about twelve different perfomance parts sites. I plan on a set of heads after a while and maybe further depending on how long I stay satisfied with the performance. Keep in mind this car is mostly a daily driver that I take to the track about twice a month. Now it's time for my cam:
Comp Cams 503- 224/230, .503/.510, 112lsa, rpm range(according to summits site) 1800 to 5800
I am in desperate need of help for my own sanity. Please any and all parts NEEDED to do this would be helpfull. Part numbers or good LT1 performance parts sites woould also be very helpfull.
PS. Please excuse me if I seem out of my mind it's been one helluva day.

Re: Cam setup (NEED MAJOR HELP!!!!!)
Call Combination Motorsports (cmotorsports.com), tell them your setup and they can sell you a complete valvetrain package. I've been running their 618 dual springs for over 2 years now and like them a lot.

I agree with getting advice from a good vendor/engine builder.

height):
787-16 retainers
648-16 locks
10 degree hardware with 4705-16 spring seats:

I know I shouldn't have. Sorry. How about a little help with the converter? And will the 1.6 rr's have clearance issues?
