Its just easier to make a decision when I have all the numbers, its the way I think

Ya want your cake and eat it too and it DON'T happen in the performance world.
Ya either want HP or ya build for fuel mileage ya ain't gonna have BOTH.

I can accept loosing 1-2 mpg highway to gain 10hp and some time in the quarter

but if were talking 5+mpg to gain 10 horsepower
then im gonna pass

I got the LE1 because its an Economy build and
I did not want a dedicated drag car
If i wanted the 'cake' i would be building a 383 w/ LE3 heads

Yep, but at that point ya would have the cake but ya couldn't eat it too.

Ok, i just ordered the LE1 cam

Lloyd said it was 0 or at most 1 mileage diff between 503 and LE1

thats an acceptable cost for 10hp

Those heads with the larger valves deserved a LE2 cam. Why? Just because of the FUN factor. Screw the puny lose in gas mileage.
