I am pretty sure but wanting to verify, can you not use a cam for any 87+ SBC in a LT1?? So long as it Requires thrust button and wear plate?? Just wanting to verify this. Thanks for any help. it is a 95 model motor with center dowel for opti. I am hoping Bret will contact me on a custom, but needing to do something fairly quick.

 

I dont see why you couldnt, only difference is the dowel. If you got an 87 up cam, you would have to pull out the dowel, and put a longer one in.

 

My only problem I see is the center spline for the dowel for the opti. I will call Comp tomorrow I guess.
