Cam selection help please.

Here is my situation. I may be having my heads ported this week (depends on a few things) and if so, I need to decide on a cam that will goin sometime in the next 2 months.

now, i drive the car 70+ miles a day, so i need something streetable that wont totally kill my mileage. right now im lookin at the hotcam kit and the cc305. ive also read about the xe224/230. so, what cam would be best for me? i want to decide today or tomorrow (been reading for weeks) because if i get the heads ported and polished, i want to make sure i can provide numbers on the cam.

thanks in advance.

You need numbers from the heads to make the best selection.

You also need to tell us your tranny type, your compression, your rear end gearing, etc..
Is this a stock shortblock or a rebuild?

Mo info.

Mindgame is right. There are very many variables. You need to port the heads first and have them flowed on a nonbiased flow bench. It's kinda tough to port heads to "match" a cam, lol. A custom grind is the only way you are going to see full potential.
