CAM Removal LT1

Hey Hope someone can tell me will the cam come out of the motor (95Z) in the car with the front rad and stuff out of the way. only time I have done a cam on these LT1's is on the stand...thanks

yes, remove rad. completly, GENTLY lift/twist the a/c condensor up when the cam is sliding out, then to put the new one in. just be careful when you lift the condensor and twist it so that you dont stress the lines too much.

you should do a search and see the detailed instructions along with pics to make it very easy. plus all the specs are in there too. get a good look at the cam bearings while the cam is out. esp. the front one. they have a tend. to be pretty worn, and when you put in the new cam, sometimes the bearings will spin, blocking off the path of oil to parts of the eng. then its all over. time for a rebuild. just an FYI.
