Cam solution?! finally? Maybe. . .

instead of doing a new thread i am reviving one of my older dumber posts. i did a hella buncha research and am almost good on my cam i want. i just have a few Q's. I wanna maintain street and good MPG and minamal tuning, but i still wanna **** myself when i hit the gas that first time after install. so i was thinking the cc306 and GM847 are way too big for the MPG, but i was looking at maybe a XE227/233, or even something as small as a 224/230 with about a 112LSA, cause i think a 110 would be too lopey and cause some bad smells/cam surge. the other thing is i know a guy selling a 230/236 with a 112, what do u guys think? would this do for a noticable power gain but not kill the pocket book with gas at 1.71 /G at the wal-mart down the street and 1.86 at SHELL? and for u guys in CA i feel sorry, i am stationed in San Diego and gas is like 2.25 for freakin reg!! JEES! Thanx for any input.

Re: Cam question for a stock 95 LT1 TA

Please make use of the search on this board. There are tons of posts about rockers. Go to Comp Cams or another manufacturer to get explanation of cam specs or you might even find some explanations on this board with a search. Some research on your part is warranted. It would be a daunting task for someone to type out a post to explain all of what you are asking.

Stock rocker arm ratio is 1.5.

There are a lot of factors to consider when choosing a cam. You need to figure out what your goals are.
