Cam Question

Is there any camshafts that will work in my 95 LT1 without having to modify the tune? If so which one do you all like? I'd like to get a little more punch out of an otherwise stock motor. Thanks

Re: Cam Question

Even the mild LT4 HOTcam produces better results with a tune. Why would you not want a tune? Its good for 15HP on a stock setup.... more than that with a cam.

Re: Cam Question

Well for one thing I'd have to put it in, drive it, and then take it to get it tuned, the nearest place being three hours from my house. Would it run that good for that long? You know break in period, plus the extra running? I've never really done a cam swap on a computerized motor. Done plenty on a carbed one though.

Also right now I'm just running a base tune from Carolina Auto Masters anyway, haven't had the chance for them to tune it yet, so I figured I might swap the cam before I do.

Re: Cam Question

Get a mail order tune from Madwolf or PCMForless or Ed Wright and it will be pretty damn close.
They have done so much dyno tuning that they can do that.
