Cam Question

Hey everyone, i have a cam question. I have a 1997 z28 and i want to throw probably a le1 package in there. The problem is I have 97,000 miles on my car. Is this a good idea, or not? If i was to rebuild my engine what kind of components should i be looking to replace and what do you think they would run? I am not looking to go to crazy on this, just get around 350 HP. I did 260RWHP stock. Do you think i could get 350RWHP with an LE1 package and supports mods? Let me get everyones opinions. Thanks guys.

Re: Cam Question

yeh, you could def get 350, id just get a hotcam kit, as long as you support it right with the rest of the valvetrain itll be fine--good luck!

It's a crap shoot. If you have money, go through the engine. If not, you can take your chances. You might be ok, might not.

Agreed, it's a crapshoot on whether it will go or not.

Don't do it unless you can afford to do a rebuild if something *does* go wrong and the engine goes south.

370+ rwhp has been attained by LE1 setups.. so yes, 350 is quite doable.
