cam question

I got a friend who is going to give me a cam for my 96 z28 and i was wondering how radical it is. He said it is a comp cam with 224/230 114 LSA . How does that compare to the cc306 or cc305? thanks

As far as duration goes it's right between the CC305 and CC306. LSA is pretty close to both of them also.

If you're going to get a 305, you can save a little money and just get the Hotcam. They put out nearly identical power numbers. With either of these cams and tuning, you can gain 40-50 more hp at the wheels.

The 305 or Hotcam is not even in the same league as the 306. The 306 will perform MUCH better with ported heads. And if you're stuck with emissions, don't plan on passing with the 306 either. The 306 is made to rev.

yeah i don't have emissions or anything...i don't even have a muffler or cats lol. with my mildly ported heads would i see a huge diff between the 306 and the 305 w/ 1.6 rockers
