Cool Decided on Magnaflow, now where do I buy it from?

I originally had my heart set on the SLP loudmouth, I heard it on an 01 SS and fell in love with it. Recently, however, the cost of the installation kit and reading things about people saying "it has no tone, it's just loud" have scared me off because I plan on getting some Mac mid lengths and a y-pipe down the road, so I don't want the rasp mobile.

I heard the magnaflow on an LT1 Z28 at the track yesterday, and it was mean as hell and just what I'm looking for. Now I've read about people getting it for as little as $280, so, where would I be able to pick it up for this little?

Thanks in advance.

the best price i could find for ya in a couple minutes of searching was on JEGS... http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...92&prmenbr=361 about half way down the page 642-15620....usually the F-body only part suppliers have higher prices than mass marketers like jegs or summit would have, so i always check them first, and usually last lol

I got mine from Jegs, but several folks on here have gotten them off eBay for $280ish. Just have to take a look and see what's out there.

Don't forget to check shipping prices when looking on eBay though. Something may look like a deal, but it may have a GM Parts Direct type astronomical shipping charge on it...

I bought one (15620) about 2 weeks ago from someone named performancepeddler. I contacted he and performance-curve through their ebay auction "Ask seller a question" link, and asked for the cheapest shipped price for the catback without any added "free" items (performance-curve offers a 3" cat with purchase normally -but I'm smart enough to know that a "free" item that a person also sells for $50+ in other auctions, isn't really a free item).

performance-curve never emailed me back despite 2 email inquiries. performancepeddler got back to me within 24 hours, and quoted me $280 with shipping. This was $43 cheaper than the auction listing, so I bought it.
48 hours later it was on my doorstep.

And I'm really enjoying it. I was very worried that maybe it wasn't loud enough for me, but I had my daughter rev a bit with me standing behind the car, and it IS loud. But not too bad when you're in the car itself.
Took forever to get the tips spaced properly, but once I did I was set.
The "new catback" smell has now worn off, and I've retightened a loose manifold bolt that was adding to a poorer exhaust sound. But now it's smell free and sounds great!
