Dont think its the convertors so much as the clutches. High rpms in 4l60e = death wish.

PPI (vig) makes the best convertor IMO. Machined billet cases etc. As for stall speed, you start hitting 2800+ you are likey to have no shift issues on hard launches. People are going to jump in here and say "XXXX" has a fix for it, but i have yet to see any proof.

Invest in a nice tranny cooler and shiftkit. I have had good luck with the B&M 24,000 lb rated transcooler(summit- $55) and the B&M street/strip shift kit. I'm running a midwest converter.

3200 is so close still even though you had the no shift before. Many times you can "tweak" it to shift. Show me 3500+ stalls on a 1.7 or less 60" and i will say thats proof Do you know if he found a stall speed table as ed wright was claiming, or is he just playing with known tables?

However, thats a sweet video.

as long as I delt with that problem, it is a fix in my book.

I drive my car everyday in town and interstate both, only bad thing about the stall is it kills gas milage.

The times in sig are with a 175 shot stock bottem end Cheaply rebuilt 4L60E and a 10 bolt with 3.23 gears

Your 224/230 sounds a lot different than mine in the video. I have a lot of lope, need to get it tuned a bit, but the thing flys! Hopefully I adjusted the valves properly.

Going tommorrow to get the y pipe put on, will make it a lot easier to diagnose any problems because I seem to get a little hesitation in the low RPM's... most likely retard from the long tubes vibrating the crap out of the car.
