Cam with out a higher stall?

I wanted a little extra power over the summer. This coming winter is going to have a T-56 conv. I also will be starting forged 355 w/ blower also. I was thinking of putting cc306 or something in there to have fun with. I don't want to waste the money on a stall. The car has a 9" w/ 3.80's in it now. Will it be undriveable without a higher stall?

Just don't set your idle too high (maybe 800-850) and put $50 into a cooler, you should be fine.

I ran the Hotcam for a year without a stall. The stall really won't help you much unless you're at the track where you can run some sticky tires unless you just like to spin the tires.

Great thanks guys. I wasn't planning on running sticky tires till I get a T56 in. The 4l60 seems to be acting up anyway.

Just put the T56 in now. Or don't drive the car in the city....

I drove around all last summer with a 306 cam and no stall and it would idle around 900 rpm.. Not to bad really
