Alright, I need your help here. I have currently a 383 Stroker, comp 305 cam, stage 3 cnc/P&P heads and Hooker LTs. It only has about 5,000 miles on it. I have been very happy with my current setup but feel that I am leaving too much on the table with the smaller cam. I would have went with the larger cam but I had stock heads at the time the motor was built.

Now, I am thinking about going to 100-150 shot of nitrous. Also, I am thinking about going with a bigger cam.

Should I stay with the current cam, Is it worth changing out?

If I do change the cam, what should I throw in there. GM847, Comp 306, Custom grind? What is a good nitrous cam?

I am just not sure if the cam swap would be worth it or not. I will be paying a shop to replace it if I do.

I drive this car as a daily driver to work as well as go to the strip once or twice a month.

Heads are supposed to flow 270-280 (More performance Stage 3)

I have a local speed shop do my tuning for me. It will be going on the dyno for some tuning when I'm done with these mods.

 

A custom cam specific to your goals/ engine specs or CC306! Just my 1/50th of a dollar!!
