Cam Me!!!!
Anyone know how difficult it would be to throw a slightly more "agressive" cam into my LT1? I want to have a noticable change in torque and HP without tripping sensors all over my car and having that real beefy cam loping idle.... if anyone has a suggestion of what kind of cam to get, or hell, if you yourself are selling one, let me know here or email me at x72onspokesx@aol.com... thanks a lot guys!

The Hot Cam or Comp cc 305 is about what you want.
Either one will work with mild gearing, make plenty of low and mid range TQ and pull to 6000-6200 RPM. With some mail order tuning from PCMforless or Madwolf, it would be VERY drivable, work with stock converter and gears and probably pass emissions as well.
Hot Cam kit is "about" $500 and comes with cam, springs, retainers, locks and rockers arms. The Comp cc 305 would be about $50 to $100 more by the time you got the cam, some 1.6 roller rockers and some CM 612 springs but the parts would be a lil better as well.
You cant go wrong with either set up.

a friend of mine has a comp cam for me out of his Z, said its an outrageous cam, and he said it may pass smog with the proper tuning (but im not worried about that anyway, i just want it tuned so it runs perfect) and hes selling it for $100... and all i need to buy is new lifters, and he said i could run the stock ones but i should get new ones, and if i get the cam, lifters, water pump, roller rockers, and underdrive pulleys i got a guy who will install it all for $300 labor!!!! what you guys think? anyone got some ideas on how to make my Z scream with these options?

add 1.6 rockers and make sure you know the specs on the cam so you can check it with your springs if it is a larger cam make sure to check your clearance between your retainers and seals, seat pressure of springs and coil bind to make sure your not going to have further complications
